School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing

Welcome to the School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing. Our mission is to generate and disseminate internationally recognized knowledge in Communication, Journalism and Marketing disciplines. To support this mission, we offer a number of high-quality academic programs, including undergraduate majors in Marketing Management, Communication Management, Marketing Communication and the Bachelor of Communication. At the graduate level, we offer a PG Diploma in Marketing, Graduate Diploma in Journalism studies and a Masters in Management with Marketing and Communication endorsements. We also offer Doctoral programs at each of our campuses in different domains.

Our faculty have diverse areas of expertise including international marketing, interpersonal communication, consumer behaviour, business communication, advertising strategy, speech writing, arts journalism, cultural representation, social marketing, issues in sustainability, ethical communication, acculturation processes, journalism ethics, services marketing, political communication, public relations, marketing research, history of journalism, adult literacy and business journalism. Communication Management and Public Relations

Communication management addresses all aspects of communication at work, from presentations and writing through to strategic planning. In public relations you explore diverse forms of discourse in public relations including the principles and practices of public relations and related disciplines.

Journalism and Journalism Studies

Journalism and Journalism Studies

These programmes incorporate news media theory and help you develop useful journalistic skills such as information-gathering and writing.

Marketing and Marketing Communication

Marketing and Marketing Communication

In marketing you obtain a sound knowledge of marketing principles and their application, along with insights into thinking analytically about marketing problems. Marketing communication provides you with an understanding of the terminology and assumptions within marketing communication practice.

Bachelor of Communication

Bachelor of Communication

The Bachelor of Communication is a three-year degree that prepares you for a variety of emerging and current occupations in communication and media.

Communication Internship

Communication Internship

The Communication Internship enables you to integrate a period of intensive workplace experience with knowledge of communication theory which you will have already gained in your degree.
